🚀 New Features

Self-Service Storage Management

Storage Management: Redesigned for Seamless Setup – Set up and manage your warehouse layout without filing a support request. The new View Mode displays the complete warehouse hierarchy in a collapsible tree, with capacity, status, and pick priority visible at every level.

The Create Storage Section flow has also been rebuilt as a guided three-step builder with smart defaults and a live preview of the location codes that will be generated.

You can now configure volume capacity in cubic metres (CBM) for individual storage locations. Status cascade allows you to mark an entire container, such as an aisle or rack, as unavailable, with all child locations automatically inheriting the status. Individual locations can still be overridden afterward.

Rebuilt Mobile Picking Experience

Picking App: Rebuilt From the Ground Up – The new mobile picker guides warehouse teams through a stop-by-stop wave, beginning with a Wave Overview, directing the picker through each bin and pick, and finishing with a Wave Complete summary and Tote Dropoff confirmation.

For soft-allocated orders, the picker identifies which lot, serial number, or LPN must be resolved at pick time and presents the appropriate selection or scanning interface. When multiple identifiers require resolution, the picker guides the user through them individually, narrowing the available options after each selection.

For hard-allocated orders, where all identifiers are already resolved, the flow remains minimal: confirm the SKU and quantity, and continue.

The new picker also provides structured resolution paths for common operational scenarios:

  • Bin empty or incorrect inventory: Search for an alternate bin.

  • Partial quantity available: Pick the available quantity and reroute the remainder.

  • Lot barcode cannot be scanned: Select the lot from a list.

  • Serial number not found: Resolve it through the reconciliation screen.

The new picker is now the default for all users. The classic picker remains temporarily accessible through an opt-out toggle.

Expiry-Aware Inventory Allocation

Expiry-Aware Inventory Allocation Policy – Configure how expiry dates are handled throughout inventory allocation and picking. This is particularly useful for perishable goods, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and other products where expired or near-expiry inventory must not be shipped.

The policy includes three configurable dimensions:

  • Rotation strategy (FEFO or None): Controls how lots are sorted during allocation.

  • Block expired: Prevents expired lots from being allocated or picked anywhere in the fulfilment workflow.

  • Minimum shelf life: Excludes lots that will expire within a configurable period—for example, inventory expiring within 60 days.

These rules are consistently enforced from allocation through picking. Ineligible lots are excluded before they reach the warehouse team, and the system rejects an expired lot with a clear reason if it is scanned during picking.

Expired inventory is also visually identified on the Location Inventory screen and can be isolated using a dedicated filter.

Enhanced Inbound Receiving

Blind Receiving, Shell Consignments, and Tracking Identifiers – Several new capabilities provide greater flexibility when receiving unexpected, mixed, or incompletely documented shipments.

  • Blind receiving: Receive goods even when no consignment exists in the system. If a product is not yet available in the catalog, it can be created directly within the receiving workflow.

  • Shell consignments: Create a consignment without adding product lines upfront, and add products as they are physically received and identified.

  • Tracking identifiers on consignments: Include lot IDs, serial numbers, LPNs, and other tracking identifiers when creating a consignment for richer traceability from the point of intake.

Weighing Scale Integration

Mettler Toledo Weighing Scale Integration – Hopstack now integrates directly with Mettler Toledo weighing scales through the MT-SICS protocol. At receiving and packing stations, weight is automatically captured when an item is placed on a connected scale.

No additional software is required. The integration works through Chrome’s Web Serial API using a USB or serial connection.

If you use a Mettler Toledo scale—or another scale supporting the MT-SICS protocol—and would like to connect it, contact your implementation representative.


🔧 Enhancements


Order Management V2 Becomes the Default

Order Management V2: Now the Default – V2 is now the default experience across Order Management, Consignments, and Products. Users who previously worked on the legacy V1 screens will now be directed to V2 automatically. V1 remains temporarily accessible but will be retired in a future update.

Exceptions are now available as a dedicated tab within Order Management V2, replacing the standalone Exceptions module. Users can group and filter records by exception type without leaving the Orders interface.

Improved Mark Complete Workflow

Mark Complete has been rebuilt for orders that use tracking identifiers like lots, serial numbers, expiry dates, or LPNs. Instead of a simple confirmation, the new flow opens an interactive resolver that walks through each order line. It auto-resolves inventory when there is no ambiguity, and only prompts you when a real decision exists (for example, which lot to pick from when multiple are available). The resolver also supports short-picking with reasons when you cannot fulfill the full quantity, and all inventory changes commit together so nothing is left in a partial state.

For orders without tracking identifiers, Mark Complete works exactly as before.

Location Inventory Improvements

A Simpler Way to View and Move Stock – Location Inventory continues to replace the older SKU-Bin Mapping screen with a cleaner and more capable interface. This cycle introduces:

  • Grouped views: Organize inventory using different dimensions and view all relevant columns within the expanded group without additional clicks.

  • Bulk inventory transfer: Select multiple inventory rows and transfer them to a single destination in one action.

  • New filters: Use System Locations and Has Products/Empty filters to find the required locations and inventory more quickly.

Integration Management and Carrier Improvements

Integration Improvements – Several enhancements make it easier to monitor integrations, configure carrier connections, and resolve shipment issues.

  • Integration Management V2: Provides administrators with an at-a-glance view of connection health, integration issues, and current synchronization status.

  • FedEx shipment void: Void a FedEx shipping label directly from Hopstack after label generation without signing in to FedEx.

  • FedEx sandbox/production selector: Switch between sandbox and production environments during setup to test configurations before going live.

  • Amazon FBM VAS handling: Label generation now correctly handles required Value Added Services selections returned with Amazon FBM rates, reducing label-generation failures.

Public API Enhancements

Expanded Support for Custom Integrations and Applications – New API capabilities provide more flexible metadata, inventory, order creation, and status-management options.

  • Metadata lookup endpoints: New GET endpoints for /customers, /warehouses, /orders/sources, and /products/sources can be used to populate dropdowns and validate inputs in custom applications.

  • Inventory lookup by tracking identifier: Query inventory using an LPN, serial number, lot ID, or another tracking identifier to determine which bin contains a specific item.

  • Tracking identifiers on Create Order: Include lot IDs, serial numbers, and other identifiers for individual line items when creating an order.

  • Fulfilment parameter on Order Status Update: Apply more granular status management when updating orders programmatically.

Physical Dimension Capture During Receiving

Capture Length, Weight, and Volume – Physical dimensions can now be captured during receiving and reflected in the corresponding inventory records in Location Inventory.

This is useful for operations that use weight-based shipping rates or have compliance requirements requiring physical attributes to be recorded. The capability is optional and can be configured for individual products.

The Pre-formed Bundle option allows you to mark bundles that arrive already assembled. These bundles are received as a single, complete unit, ensuring inventory accurately reflects their physical form upon arrival.
