Product Search

This guide is designed to make it easy for you to understand how to effectively search for products using various identifiers and names.

Search Fields and How They Work

Our search functionality allows you to find products using several fields such as ASIN, EAN, FNSKU, LPN, seller SKU, SKU, UPC, and product name. Here’s a brief overview of each:

  1. ASIN, EAN, FNSKU, LPN, Seller SKU, SKU, UPC:

    • These identifiers support partial matching. You can find products even if you only know part of the identifier.

    • For example, searching for "123" will return results like "123", "12345", and "9123".

  2. Product Name:

    • You can search by the beginning of the product name. Typing the first few letters will show relevant products.

    • For example, typing "Shamp" will return products like "Shampoo", "Shampoo Conditioner", and "Shampoo for Dry Hair".

Filtering by Client and Warehouse

You can also filter search results by client and warehouse:

  • Client: Refers to the specific customer or account you are searching for.

  • Warehouse: Refers to the specific storage location.

Matching Details

  • Character Matching: We will be matching up to 7 characters.

  • Case Handling: Uppercase and lowercase letters are treated the same to ensure case-insensitive matching.

  • Exact Search: If you search with quotes (e.g., "1234567"), you will get the exact match for the term.

  • Spelling Mistakes and Formatting: Our search will match results even if there are spelling mistakes or incorrect formatting. For example, searching for "conditioner shampoo" will return results for both "conditioner shampoo" and "shampoo conditioner".

  • Result Prioritization: Results are prioritized for relevance. For example, if you search for "123":

    • The exact match "123" will be shown first.

    • Other partial matches like "9123", "0123", and "7123" will also appear in the results.

How to Use the Search

  • Step 1: Enter the product identifier (ASIN, EAN, FNSKU, LPN, seller SKU, SKU, or UPC) or the product name into the search bar.

  • Step 2: Apply filters for client and warehouse if needed to narrow down your search results.

  • Step 3: Review the search results to find the product you are looking for.

Conclusion

Our search functionality is designed to be intuitive and powerful, allowing you to find products quickly and accurately. Whether you’re searching by a unique identifier or a product name, our filters ensure that you get the best possible results.
