This guide provides step-by-step instructions for managing warehouse-to-warehouse transfers using Hopstack.
Please note, as of now, Hopstack does not support direct warehouse-to-warehouse transfer under stock transfer.
However, this process can be effectively managed by a two-step approach:
Creating an order for the from-warehouse and Creating a consignment for the destination warehouse.
Step 1: From Warehouse - Creating and Completing an Order
-
Create an Order: Initiate the transfer by creating an order on the Hopstack platform. Make sure to select the correct warehouse from which the items are being sent.
-
For detailed steps on order creation, visit: Creating an Order.
-
-
Complete the Workflow: You can either complete all the workflows for the order or use the 'Mark Complete' option.
-
For guidance on how to mark an order as complete, refer to Mark Order Complete.
-
Completing this step will deduct the inventory from the sending warehouse.
-
Step 2: Destination Warehouse - Creating and Receiving a Consignment
-
Create a Consignment: For the receiving warehouse, begin by creating a consignment. Ensure the correct destination warehouse is selected.
-
Instructions for creating a consignment are here: Creating a Normal Consignment.
-
-
Receiving and Putaway: Next, you can proceed with the receiving and putaway process for the consignment.
-
Alternatively, you can use the 'Mark Receive' option to expedite this step.
-
More information on receiving options is available at: Receive Current vs Mark as Received vs Mark as Close.
-
This action will add the inventory to the destination warehouse after you complete the putaway.
