The objective of this guide is to detail the implementation of a new "Summary" view within the outbound logistics operations screen.
This consolidated view aims to allow operations team members to easily view and track the entire lifecycle of a batch and its orders, encompassing picking, prepping, and packing stages, in a single, intuitive interface.
Accessing the "Summary" View
Log in to your account on the outbound logistics operations platform.
Navigate to the outbound logistics operations screen. You will find the "Summary" tab among the options at the top of the screen or as a designated section within the dashboard.
Click on the "Summary" tab to open the consolidated view of batches and their orders.
Understanding the "Summary" View
The "Summary" view displays the following key information across various columns, giving you a comprehensive overview of each batch and its lifecycle:
Batch ID: The unique identifier assigned to each batch.
# Orders: The total number of orders contained within a specific batch.
# Unique Products: The count of distinct products across all orders in the batch.
Total Qty: The aggregated quantity of items present in the batch.
Tote: The identifier for the tote used during the picking process.
Picking, Packing, Prepping: These columns show the status or metrics associated with each respective stage in the lifecycle of an order.
Client(s): The names of clients whose orders are included in the batch.
Warehouse: The warehouse location from which the batch is being processed and dispatched.
Action: This column may include buttons or links for actions you can take on the batch or specific orders, such as viewing more details or initiating a workflow.
Navigating the Interface
The design of the "Summary" view emphasizes ease of use and clarity, enabling you to seamlessly navigate through the complete lifecycle of an order:
Scroll to explore all batches and orders.
Hover over any status indicators or metrics for expanded details. (You can view the details by clicking on eye icon)
Click on a Batch ID to access an in-depth view of that batch, where you can review the batch's activity log and detailed line items, enhancing your understanding and tracking capabilities.
