SKU Allocation View on Stock Ledger

The SKU Allocation View in Stock Ledger provides a detailed breakdown of how stock units (SKUs) are allocated within inventory management. The ability to see what an SKU is allocated against like outbound orders and Bundles. Follow these steps to view the allocated units for your products in the inventory:

1 - Navigate to the Inventory section of your dashboard & Select Stock Ledger.

2 - In the Stock Ledger, use the search bar to enter the SKU or product name of the item you want to check. Click on the allocated quantity displayed under the allocated section for that product.

3 - Once you click on the allocated units, a pop-up window will appear, showcasing all orders that are currently batched or in-process for the selected product.

4 - The pop-up will provide you with the following details for each entity:

  • Entity & Entity ID: It's not just an order that can hold an allocation, it can be also something like a bundling operation or a Bin-to-Bin Transfer Job as shown below.

  • Location: The stored bin location of the product within the warehouse

  • Quantity: The number of allocated units for that specific order

  • UoM: The base UoM of the product

Please note you can’t transfer the stock if quantities are allocated for an order. A notification will be displayed on the screen stating “The stock is not eligible for transfer because there's allocated quantity for some of the inventory affected by this transfer”.
