Zebra PDA Instructions

This guide will enable you to setup your Zebra PDA to work with the Hopstack platform companion app. The guide consists of the two main steps:

• Set up the PDA profile

• Install the Hopstack companion app

Step 1: Set up the PDA profile

1. Start your Zebra PDA and unlock it to the home screen.

2. Open the “DataWedge” app on the PDA

3. Click on “Profile0” or “Default Profile”

4. Update the settings in the “Intent Output” section to look like the following image:

   1. Enable/Disable output via intent - ENABLED

   2. Intent Action - com.zebra.dwintents.ACTION

   3. Intent Category - Leave it blank

   4. Intent Delivery - Broadcast Intent

      

5. Go back to the previous screen and exit the DataWedge app.

Step 2: Install the Hopstack Companion App

1. Your Hopstack companion app is a custom installer that has been created for your specific organization. The link to download this app will be present in the shared deployment folder.

2. Download the Hopstack Mobile App.

3. Install the app

4. Open the “Hopstack Mobile” app from the main screen

5. Log in with the supplied credentials.

If there is a prompt that asks you to “Allow apps from unknown sources”, please follow the on-screen instructions to allow this installation.
