  7. Reservations and its Impact on Workflows:

    1. When a reservation is made for a specific location (e.g., Loc ABC) for a particular item (e.g., SKU X), that location will only be able to store SKU X. However, this doesn't restrict SKU X from being placed in any other available and usable locations. For example, if Loc ABC is reserved for SKU X, you can still store SKU X in other open locations as needed.

    2. Receiving :

      1. Associate combining Receiving and Putaway in a single workflow:

        1. Unavailable Location:
When a location is marked as unavailable, it cannot be used, regardless of any reservations.

        2. Reserved Location is Available for Reserved Item:
If the reserved item is being received and put away, the reserved location can be used as long as there is sufficient capacity.

        3. Reserved Location is Available, but Unreserved Locations are Free:
If the reserved item is being received and put away, other unreserved locations with available capacity can also be used.

        4. Reserved Location is Available, but a Different Item is Being Received:
The reserved location cannot be used for items other than the reserved one, even if the location has available capacity.

      2. Associate doing Suggested Putaway with Receiving Workflow:

        1. Note: To enable this Workflow, please contact your implementation manageer for more details.

        2. Unavailable Location:
When a location is marked as unavailable, it cannot be used, regardless of any reservations.

        3. Reserved Location Available for Reserved Item during Suggested Putaway:
If the reserved item is being received and suggested for putaway, the reserved location can be selected for putaway as long as it has available capacity.

        4. Reserved Location Available, but Another Unreserved Location Can Be Used:
If the reserved item is being received and suggested for putaway, another unreserved location can also be selected for suggested putaway if it has sufficient capacity and the SKU-BIN exists.

        5. Reserved Location Available, but Different Item for Suggested Putaway:
The reserved location cannot be selected for putaway of a different item, even if it has capacity, because it is reserved for another specific item.

    3. Putaway:

      1. Unavailable Location:
If a location is marked as unavailable, it cannot be used, regardless of existing reservations.

      2. Reserved Location Available for Reserved Item during Putaway:
If the reserved item is being put away, the reserved location can be used as long as there is sufficient capacity.

      3. Reserved Location Available, but Another Unreserved Location Can Be Used:
If the reserved item is being put away, another unreserved location can also be utilized for putaway, provided it has capacity.

      4. Reserved Location Available, but Different Item for Putaway:
The reserved location cannot be used for putaway of a different item, even if there is available capacity, as it is specifically reserved for another item.

    4. SKU-BIN Management:

      1. In SKU-BIN management, if a location is reserved for a specific entity, manual creation of that location for any other entity is prohibited.

    5. Bin-Bin Transfer

      1. The Bin-Bin transfer process must adhere to location reservations. If a specific SKU is reserved for clients (which implicitly reserves the associated locations), any Bin-Bin transfer initiated must follow these reservation rules. Additionally, if the locations involved in the transfer are marked as unavailable, the Bin-Bin transfer should not be permitted for those locations.
