Receiving + Putaway

The processes of receiving and putting away can be merged into a single workflow.

This approach is activated when all mandatory fields, including the bin location, are filled in during the receiving process.

By doing so, products are received directly into their designated storage location, eliminating the need for a separate putaway job.

User Steps

1. Initiate Receiving Process: Begin the receiving process when goods arrive at the warehouse, verifying the shipment against the consignment and inspecting the goods for any damages.

2. Complete Mandatory Fields: Ensure that all mandatory fields are filled out, including product information, quantities, and the bin location where the products will be stored.

3. Classify as Receiving into a Bin: Once all required information, including the bin location, is entered, the activity is classified as receiving into a bin, triggering the combined workflow of receiving and putaway.

4. Execute Combined Action: The products are then directly put away into the specified bin location as part of the receiving process, eliminating the need for a separate putaway job.

5. Update Inventory Records: Inventory records are automatically updated to reflect the received products in their designated bin locations, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and management.

6. Complete the Workflow: With the products received and put away in a single action, the combined workflow is complete.
