Managing Automatic and Manual Printing During Workflows

Hopstack now offers flexibility in how you handle printing during key workflows like receiving, prepping, and packing. This enhancement allows you to choose between automatic printing (where printouts are triggered automatically by the system) and manual printing (where printouts are triggered by the user with a click).

Key Workflows Supported:

  • Receiving: Print FNSKU labels as items are received.

  • Prepping: Print FNSKU labels during product preparation.

  • Packing: Print shipping, packing, and box labels (as applicable) when orders are packed.

How It Works:

  • Automatic Printing: By default, Hopstack is set to automatic printing for all workflows. The system will automatically trigger the print command as you move through the workflows and reach points where labels are required. No manual intervention is needed. You can re-print labels on demand manually.

  • Manual Printing: If you prefer more control, you can opt for manual printing. This requires users to click a button whenever a printout is needed during the workflows. This choice can be global or per-workflow (for example, keep automatic printing on receiving but keep manual printing on prepping and packing)

The system is set to automatic printing by default. To switch to manual printing for one or more workflows, please contact the Hopstack Support team or your implementation manager.
